"Ohio Governor Proposes Halving State Support; Many Libraries Could Close Library Aid Would be cut by $227 Million over 2 Years..."(Oder of lib. journal)


The Louisville Public Library receives about 90% of its revenue in state aid, these proposed reductions would be catastrophic for the citizens of Louisville & Nim. Township. Our state aid would be reduced from $599,000 to $299,000, these reductions may take effect immediately:

Reduction of Staff & Hours from 64 to 32.

    Our New schedule may be:
  • Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday 10am until 7pm
  • Friday 10am until 3pm
  • Thursday-Saturday CLOSED

ELIMINATION OF INTERLIBRARY LOAN(SLIC and SearchOhio), ALL ADULT AND MOST OF CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING & REDUCTION OF BOOK AND MOVIE BUDGET FROM $126,000 TO $61,000
