Donating to Louisville Public Library
Louisville Public Library appreciates donations, whether they be monetary (memorials, bequests, celebrations of occasions, or in honor of a person) or in the form of of donated books and audiovisual materials or services. Monies donated to the library will be used for the building fund, furnishings and equipment, programming, or for development of the library's collections.
Donations to the library are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
- Memorials
Louisville Public Library has long honored its patrons by accepting donations used to purchase gift books. A book, reflecting the interests of the person being remembered, is chosen by the staff and a book plate with that person's name is added. An acknowledgement of the gift is sent to the family. Larger donations will also be gladly accepted in memory of Louisville residents and will be used for collection development, library furnishings or building improvement projects. - Bequests
By donating money to the library in a will, a person leaves behind a legacy honoring his or her commitment to reading.Bequests to the library are a statement of the value of the library's contributions to the education and entertainment of the community. - Celebration of Occasions
