Downloadable Books Come to the Library

The Louisville Public Library is pleased to announce the arrival of digital eBooks, Audio Books and OverDrive Music for your enjoyment. Louisville residents can browse and search hundreds of titles and download them to computers, transfer them to portable devices, or burn them onto CDs for reading and listening, anywhere, anytime. The library's participations with the Ohio eBook Project will begin January 29.

Materials may be downloaded by clicking on the Ohio eBook Project icon on the library's website. The lending period is 14 days. A FAQ and helpful tips for downloading books are available on the Ohio eBook Project website. At this time, Overdrive Audio Books and Music and Mobipocket eBooks are not compatible with Macintosh or Linux operating systems or iPod players, but can be used on Windows PCs and a range of portable devices.

Materials available through the Ohio eBooks Project will include:

  • Best-selling fiction
  • Non-fiction
  • Children's books
  • Music (mostly classical)
