"One Book, One Community" Reading Club
Growing Season is a collection of images and stories that portrays the life of a migrant community on the K.W. Zellers family farm in Hartville, Ohio. This book will depend the reader’s understanding of the migrant experience and is an important contribution to our ongoing dialogue about migrant labor in this country. The book, which is published by Kent State University Press, was a joint effort by photographer Gary Harwood and writer David Hassler, both of whom are K.S.U. faculty.
