Borrowing Limits

Louisville Public Library reserves the right to restrict the number of items checked out by patrons.

Two week items and compact discs may be renewed once providing there are no holds on the material. Overnight, seven-day items, and art reproductions may not be renewed. Renewals may be done in person with the patron presenting the items to be renewed and library card, or over the phone. Art reproductions may not be recirculated on cards held by members of the same household.

Bound periodicals, microfilm, most local history items, most reference items, and high school yearbooks do not circulate. Patrons looking at yearbooks must surrender their library card during the time of use and must look at the yearbooks at the table nearest the circulation desk.

Vacation loans may be arranged with loan periods not to exceed six weeks.
