Louisville Public Library makes an effort to provide materials for all its borrowers in a fair and just manner. This requires that limits must be placed on the number of items which may be checked out, the amount of time patrons may keep items, and that fines be charged for overdue items. Patrons will also be responsible for lost or damaged materials.
The library will also attempt to borrow needed materials from other libraries through Interlibrary loan.
The library asks, in return, that patrons respect the rights of others by making every effort to return borrowed materials within the time alloted and in good condition.
